The Lighthouse - A Support Group for Parents of Children with Special Needs Living Word has partnered with
KenCrest and the Abington YMCA to start a support group for parents of special needs children. It takes place at the
Abington YMCA on the first Thursday of every month from 7:00-8:00 PM. Child care is available.
If you know someone who might benefit from a local support group, please extend this invitation freely.

The Herb Haas Chapter of Aid For Friends takes place next on:
Tuesday February 28
Cooking 9:00 AM Assembly 6:00 PM Be Fed Worship 7PM IIf you have the time, you can volunteer to prepare
a meat, fish or casserole dish at
home. We will supply the meat or fish (and recipe,
if needed). We will be happy to pick up the dish and bring it to the church for the addition of the vegetable and dessert
on the packaging evening. If you would like to cook from home, please talk to our MMPIC (Master Menu Planner In Charge,

Cub Scout Pack 438 We welcome everyone from Living Word to attend our pack committee meetings where we plan our events.
These meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall. Our pack meetings are the last
Friday of every month at 7:30PM. If a boy is interested in participating,
his parents may contact Mr Bob Lee, Cubmaster.

Word Lutheran Church Receives 2008 Best of Roslyn Award U.S. Local Business Association’s Award Plaque Honors the Achievement WASHINGTON D.C., December 22,
2008 -- Living Word Lutheran Church has been selected for the 2008 Best of Roslyn Award in the Places of Worship category
by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA). The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses
throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success
in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business
through service to their customers and community. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category.
The 2008 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both
